SFI invested in Nolan Technology Inc. & Caretta Integrated Circuits

SFI invested 6% in Nolan Technology Inc. and participated in Caretta Integrated Circuits (Caretta)’s bridging convertible loan scheme.

Caretta was set up in May 2004 by a group of returnees. It was first funded by UMC, PVG Capital and CMF Venture with US$ 2.5 mil to make family of DC/DC Converter products. The first product which is rapidly ramping up in production is a Li-battery protection chip that builds into the battery. Currently, it has more than 30 employees.

Nolan Systems was set up by one of the few pioneers involving in Blue-tooth applications. They are in the business of designing, manufacturing and sale of wireless and Bluetooth total solutions. The products include both finished and module products such as headsets for mobile phones, wireless music stereo headsets, audio devices and Voice over Internet Protocol for skype and mobile phones and GPS solutions.
